Encompassing six miles of flatwater from Newton Lower Falls to the Moody Street Dam in Waltham, the Lakes District of the Charles River has a long history of boating activity. With the dramatic improvement in
Charles River Canoe and Kayak
water quality over the past two decades, the Lakes District is again popular with canoists, kayakers, and rowers. Learn more about our Newton / Auburndale Location.
Our historic Newton Boathouse, located on Comm. Ave next to the Newton Marriott in Auburndale, is open seven days a week for rentals, houses our Paddling Store, and serves as our primary base of operations.
Our Newton location operates in cooperation with the Massachusetts Dept. of Conservation & Recreation.
