Canoe & Kayak Lease Program 2008

Only in town for a year or two? Don't want to commit to one boat for the next few seasons? Charles River Canoe & Kayak now offers a canoe and kayak leasing program. You can have a boat to call "your own," at least for the season!
The lease rate is 35% of the manufacturer's suggested retail price. Quantities and styles are limited; please call (617) 965-5110 and speak with a manager to discuss a lease before stopping in. Leased canoes must be returned by September 9, 2008, and leased kayaks must be returned by September 16, 2008.
- Kayak lease includes PFD, paddle, and sprayskirt (two each for tandem kayaks); paddle float, pump, spare paddle, and foam roof rack.
- Canoe lease includes up to five PFDs and paddles, up to three seat cushions, and foam roof rack.
- Quantities and styles are limited and are subject to change without notice.
- Each leased boat requires a deposit, in the form of a check or credit card imprint, according to our off-site rental deposit rates.
- Canoe lease term ends at noon on Tuesday, September 9, 2008; all leased canoes must be returned to our Newton Boathouse by that time.
- Kayak lease term ends at noon on Tuesday, September 16, 2008; all leased kayaks must be returned to our Newton Boathouse by that time.
- Lessee has the option to purchase the boat at anytime before the lease term ends. The purchase price is the price at the time the lease was signed plus 10%, minus that season's lease payment. The lease payment can only be applied to the purchase of the leased boat.
- Lessee receives 10% off any paddling accessories purchased during the lease term.
- Lease payments are non-refundable.
- Leased boats may not be used in whitewater.
