What's New for 2010

We are carrying four Delta models. The Fourteen5 is a light-touring kayak that's very stable. It's fully outfitted and includes a rudder for enhanced tracking in wind and waves. The Sixteen is a sea kayak for the intermediate-to-advanced small-to-medium-sized paddler. The Seventeen is a stable, high-capacity sea kayak for the medium-to-larger paddler. The TwentyT is a two-cockpit, ocean-going tandem that weighs only 82 pounds.

We are carrying four North Shore models. The Atlantic and Atlantic LV are British-style sea kayaks for the medium-to-large or small-to-medium paddler, respectively. The Atlantics have very comfortable cockpits and a very nice feel in the water. The Polar and Polar HV are hard-chine, Greenland-style sea kayaks for the small-to-medium or medium-to-large paddler, respectively. The hard chine gives the Polars excellent secondary stability for maneuverability.

For 2010 we have a new and exciting Drysuit Rental Program so you can enjoy the comfort of a drysuit without the investment. Click the link to learn more!

We will also stock a selection of Kokatat's Gore-Tex Meridian Drysuits for retail sale. If you frequently paddle in cold weather, you need to own a drysuit! The Meridian is a totally waterproof suit with Gore-Tex socks (so your feet stay totally dry) and a double tunnel to mate with your sprayskirt. We will carry both the Men's (with relief zipper) and Women's (with drop seat) versions.

We are carrying five Eddyline models. The Skylark is a 12-foot recreational kayak that's more playful than most other rec boats we've paddled. The Journey is a short (15' 5") sea kayak for the medium-to-large paddler looking for a more maneuverable option. The Fathom and Fathom LV are hard-chined Greenland-style designs that combine good stability and maneuverability, for the medium-to-large or small-to-medium paddler, respectively. The Whisper (which will be available in our rental fleet and as a special-order) is a two-cockpit, ocean-going tandem weighing in at an unbelievable 73 pounds!

Both the Ascent 1100 and the Frontier carry 11 cubic feet and can accommodate skis up to 210cm (for you nordic skiers out there). Both boxes lock to secure your cargo.

The Frontier is narrower and deeper, so you can more easily carry a kayak along with the box. It opens from the passenger side only. The Ascent 1100 is wider and opens on both sides for maximum flexibility. It also includes the Quick-Grip mounting system for fast, easy, tool-free installation and removal. The motor can be quickly removed, so you don't lift it onto your car and you could even paddle without it if you prefer. Minn Kota has been building trolling motors for decades, so expect quality and reliability. Just imagine the fishing spots you can reach with a "powerboat" that drafts just 4 inches!

In the Flirt, the tube is shorter (to better fit a shorter torso) and conically shaped (to better fit over the hips). Come feel the difference for yourself!

The Maverick glove is constructed of 2mm neoprene with titanium laminate to retain body heat. The seams are glued and the cuff fits snugly to keep your hands almost entirely dry, which increase warmth. Works especially well when mated with a drysuit or drytop. Choose the Maverick if you're paddling in cold water or cold weather.

The Rapid glove is constructed of 1.5mm stretchy neoprene that allows you freedom of movement. The velcro/elastic wrist strap keeps the glove in place Choose the Rapid for a little extra warmth if you're paddling in cool water or cool weather.

The Paddle wetshoe is a high-top 3-mm neoprene bootie with a fleece-lined upper for comfort and warmth. The Paddle has a thick sole that wraps around the sides to provide additional protection. They include a zipper for easy foot entry and exit. Choose a high-top bootie to keep your feet warm when paddling in colder water.

The Kicker wetshoe is a low-top 3-mm neoprene bootie with a nice, thick sole that wraps around the sides to provide additional protection. It also includes an over-the-foot strap for support. Choose a low-top bootie to protect your feet when paddling in warmer water.

Using the Cetus as a guide, P&H has created a series of shorter sea kayaks in the 15-foot range. The Aries 150 and 155 are composite kayaks, while the Delphinus 150 and 155 are polyethylene. Designed as a short, playful, very maneuverable sea kayaks for day trips and light overnights, these boats are great for someone who doesn't want or need a 17-foot kayak. For each, the 150 fits a small-to-medium paddler while the 155 fits the medium-to-large paddler.
