Employment Opportunities 2015-2016

Rental Room Staff
Responsibilities: Sizing customers for ski equipment and snowshoes. Providing excellent customer service while interacting with customers. Cleaning and other closing tasks.
Requirements: Applicants must be polite, responsible, friendly, and hard-working. Part-time positions are available December through February. Must be available on weekends.
Starting Pay: $9/hour.
Cross-Country (Classical) Skiing Instructor
Responsibilities: Teach 75-minute beginner lessons for up to ten students. The lessons typically run on weekends. Additional work may be available with private lessons, introductory lesson series, and patrolling.
Requirements: Significant cross-country skiing experience is required. Instructors should be able to demonstrate and teach efficient diagonal stride and techniques to travel up and down hills in control. Some teaching experience (not necessarily teaching skiing) is required. Training is available.
Starting Pay: $15/hour.
Skate-Skiing Instructor
Responsibilities: Teach 75-minute introductory lessons for up to eight students. The lessons typically run at 11:30 on weekends. Additional work may be available with private lessons, introductory lesson series, and patrolling.
Requirements: Significant skate-skiing experience is required. Instructors should be able to demonstrate and teach efficient V1 and V2 styles. Some teaching experience (not necessarily teaching skiing) is required. Training is available.
Starting Pay: $16/hour.
Kids Skiing Instructor
Responsibilities: Teach fun 1-hour or 75-minute lessons for up to six students ages 6-12, or four students ages 4-5. Lessons run on weekends and weekday afternoons, though you would not need to be available at both times. Additional work may be available with private lessons.
Requirements: Cross-country skiing experience is required. Instructors should work well with kids and be able to guide them through experiential learning experiences, games, and exploration so that the kids have fun. Must be comfortable on hills. Teaching experience (not necessarily teaching skiing) is helpful. Training is available.
Starting Pay: $10-14/hour depending on experience.
